Hello, and welcome to Insights.
If you play FPL, you probably know the routine. You open the app to make one decision, then somehow end up with five tabs open, three different opinions and even less certainty than when you started.
There is more FPL data available than ever. The problem is not finding another number. The problem is working out which numbers actually matter for the decision in front of you.
That is why I built FPL From Jamal
I wanted one calm place where I could look beyond the latest points. A player hauling last week does not automatically make him a good transfer. A difficult-looking fixture is not always difficult. Form, minutes, role, opponent and the run of games ahead all belong in the same conversation.
The dashboard is my attempt to put that context together without turning FPL into homework.
Fixtures & Strategy helps me understand the next matches, compare team form and look several gameweeks ahead. Players & Teams lets me explore who is producing, how those points are being scored, what the next matchup looks like and how two possible transfers compare side by side.
It will not predict every result. Nothing can. What it should do is make a decision easier to explain before the deadline—and easier to learn from afterwards.
What I will share here
Insights is where I will talk more openly about what I am seeing. Some weeks that might be a thought before the deadline. Other times it could be a review of what actually happened, a closer look at a player or team, or a replay from a live video.
I am not interested in pretending every call will be right. I would rather show the thinking, make the decision and come back to it honestly once the gameweek is finished.
If that sounds useful, you can join the free Gameweek Notes email list. I will send something when I genuinely have something worth sharing—not fill your inbox for the sake of it.
And if you want to see the dashboard behind the thinking, you can explore it here.
Thanks for being here.
